My Political Leanings

Thanks to my dear friend Andree for her post about her political leanings and a link to a test to discover your own political compass.  Her post got me curious.  I think of myself as a rather moderate person.  Depending on the social circle of people I am around, I tend to be “the liberal” in those groups of people who are more conservative, yet I am a tad bit more conservative in relation to those people who are on the more liberal side of the scale.  Following Andree’s lead, I took the quiz myself and here’s what I discovered:

Economic Left/Right: -5.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.08

Interestingly enough, I am pretty squarely located in the Libertarian Left quadrant.  This is the same quadrant as Ghandi, the Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela, Upton Sinclair, & Al Franken.  Can’t say I’m that surprised by this.  What about you – what’s your political compass?  You can take the test here.
