About Soul Munchies
Welcome to Soul Munchies. This blog was started several years ago as a safe place for me (Crystal Rowe) to wrestle with questions of faith and daily life. Over time, I discovered that there were many other faithful Christians wrestling with the same questions. I began to dream of Soul Munchies becoming an online community – a place where people can safely and honestly dialogue about tough stuff and grow in community with one another.
Over the last year or so, I’ve been honored to watch that dream come true. Adding a team of regular contributors has allowed Soul Munchies to evolve from a one-woman show to a real team effort. Although I still “run the show,” I couldn’t do it without the creative brainstorming and writing of the rest of the team.
In each post, we strive to tackle tough questions of how our Christian faith intersects with the culture and society that we live in. We are passionate about discovering how music, movies, books, technology and other aspects of our American culture affect, and are affected by, our faith.
Although the writings here at Soul Munchies are based in the Christian faith, there may be times when we pose questions of interfaith relationships and challenges. We hope that no matter what your faith background, you find Soul Munchies to be a place where you are free to share your point of view.
Above all else, every post is written in an attempt to encourage conversation among you, the readers. We firmly believe that no one can grow without having dialogue with others. It is in that belief that we welcome comments and challenges to anything you find posted here.
If you are interested in contributing to Soul Munchies, please never hesitate to send us a note. We’d love to add you to the team!
