One of my most memorable events from this past summer was WOW 2009. My good friend Danny and I were lucky enough to take 10 kids to the heart of downtown Knoxville for five days of faith formation, leadership development activities and a lot of hands-on mission work with the homeless and less-fortunate folks in the Knoxville area. We left Knoxville changed.

One of the favorite experiences of the week was “the water wagon.” Take a look:

What struck me as I watched this video was that this might not seem like anything huge to us. But each time the water wagon went down the street and people who got ice water, a small, a handshake, and a conversation, they experienced a glimpse of Jesus.  Sometimes that’s what it’s all about – being like Jesus.
